Seungri celebrated his birthday on December 12. On December 13, Yang Hyun Suk, the CEO of YG Entertainment, posted a video of Seungri on his Instagram.
In the video, Seungri is brought to tears in front of a birthday cake. People around him say, "What's wrong? Why are you crying?" One of them goes, "It's understandable. I feel like crying seeing you (YG) celebrating his birthday." When people tell him to hurry up and blow out the candles, Seungri says, "Let me make a wish" and makes a wish. He couldn't stop crying even after blowing out the candles.
Yang Hyun Suk said, "It was the first time in 12 years that I celebrated your birthday. I'm sorry if I made you feel left out. At least you're the first. Every child is dear to his parents. The more I know Seungri, the dearer he gets."
Seungri shared a set of photos on his Instagram and wrote, "CEO [YG] called me to say that he was going to buy me dinner, but he prepared a surprise birthday party for me... I was crying before I knew it. It was the first time he prepared a birthday party for me in 12 years. Thank you."
He also shared pictures of Ko Eun Kyung, CEO of YG K Plus, wishing him a happy birthday and wrote,
"I had never received so many birthday wishes in my life. Since I'm not used to receiving things, I'm not sure how to express my gratefulness. Thank you."
